A significant benefit of funeral prepayment is its impact on pension eligibility. Prepaid funerals up to $10,000 are excluded from asset testing when assessing eligibility for subsidies for long-term residential care.

Your funds are safe, as funeral prepayments are managed securely by The Funeral Trust, overseen by the Funeral Directors Association of New Zealand.
Flexibility & freedom
Pre paying for a funeral doesn’t bind you or your family to a specific funeral service provider. As funds are held in trust, your family has the flexibility to choose a funeral director of their preference.
