Vospers funeral home has stood as an integral part of the New Plymouth community since Richard Cleave and Phyllis Vosper founded it in 1933.

Honouring tradition; embracing our future

Our journey began at 77 Devon Street East; then, in 1954 we relocated to our current purpose built funeral home in 1954.

Vospers funeral services are FDANZ members

Our goal is to provide our communities with the highest standards and ethics in the funeral profession. That’s why we’re proud members of the Funeral Directors Association of New Zealand (FDANZ).

As members of the FDANZ, we follow the Rules of the Association as well as a strict Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct. The FDANZ also offers an independent disputes resolution process.

Registered funeral directors are also required to hold Practising Certificates that are renewable every three years, and need to provide evidence of on-going training.
