What’s included in the funeral pricing?
Like all reputable funeral directors, the funeral pricing includes professional service fees to cover a range of essential services. These include personal care for your loved one, transfers, embalming or mortuary care, obtaining necessary documentation such as death certificates, registering the death, providing funeral home facilities and services, after-hours assistance, and arranging the funeral service itself.
Additional costs to consider include the casket, urn, hearse, celebrant, venue hire, reception catering, service sheets, memorial books, photo DVD, funeral flowers, funeral livestreaming, newspaper notices, cremation/cemetery fees, ash interment, grave marker/headstone, and more.
We’re committed to creating a meaningful farewell that honours your loved one’s memory while aligning with your financial preferences. Contact us today for a free quote on funeral pricing, and let us help you create a beautiful tribute that reflects your wishes.
Funeral grants and financial assistance
Financial concerns should never stand in the way of honouring your loved one. If you’re facing financial constraints and are worried about the cost of a funeral, please let us know as soon as possible.
There are various agencies, such as WINZ and ACC, which offer funeral grants depending on individual circumstances. Read more about funeral grants.
How to pay if the estate is still tied up?
In situations where estate settlement is delayed due to probate proceedings, we offer guidance on managing payment for funeral expenses.
Bank accounts in the sole name of the deceased are typically frozen upon death, and access may be restricted until probate is granted. To ease this process, we recommend setting up bank accounts in joint names prior to death.
If settlement is delayed, families should pay the funeral account by the due date and recover funds from the estate once settled.
Rest assured, we’re here to support you through every step of this process.
